Jeff’s practice includes on all aspects of intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on patent procurement. He has a wealth of experience prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in a diverse range of technologies, including: artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain technologies, analog and digital electronics, computer hardware and software, cryptography and computer security, signal processing, telecommunications, and high finance. He also has significant litigation experience and has represented patent holders and defended against patent infringement actions in a number of federal district courts.

Jeff began his intellectual property career with a two-year stint at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, examining patent applications for cryptography, computer security and business methods. Prior to joining MH2, Jeff practiced patent law at Steptoe & Johnson LLP and Hunton & Williams LLP.
