David P. Madio, Ph.D., is a registered patent agent with more than eight years’ experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the US and abroad. With his doctorate in physics, David has worked on patent applications in many areas, including electrical, mechanical, optical, oil and gas exploration, medical devices, consumer electronics, and consumer products. David’s patent experience also includes design applications and drafting freedom-to-operate and non-infringement opinions.
Prior to helping clients protect their intellectual property, David worked in research and development in academic, governmental, and industrial settings. His research includes ultra-fast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), combining acoustic excitation with nuclear magnet resonance (NMR) detection to characterize fluids in porous media, real-time thermal mapping with MRI for gene therapy induced by focused ultrasound, and nuclear measurements in oil wells.
