Jay Stelacone has over twenty years of experience in all aspects of patent law, including strategic patent portfolio development and management; patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; patent preparation and prosecution; patent landscape analysis; licensing; and litigation. His experience and expertise are well-suited for developing and managing patent portfolios for the world market, as he has worked closely with patent attorneys and agents from over 30 countries in securing worldwide patent rights for his clients.

Mr. Stelacone’s experience spans various technical fields, including communication systems and networks (broadband and fiber); automotive and aircraft systems (engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and transmissions); medical diagnostic and therapeutic products (cardiac rhythm management, interventional cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, medical imaging, hemodialysis, and gastroenterology/urology); image processing devices; computer software; power tools; and packaging machinery and robotics.

Prior to joining MH2 Technology Law Group, LLP, Mr. Stelacone was a patent attorney with Oliff PLC in Alexandria, VA and Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP in Washington, DC. He was also a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Before becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Stelacone worked as a systems engineer, where he advised on aerodynamics, propulsion, and other aspects of Navy missile systems.
